Online Live Classes
American Robotics Academy offers live online engineering classes for kids, conducted over video chat. We can help students continue learning at home by providing a safe, vetted, and fun classroom experience, led by highly qualified teachers. Let us help you to customize your child’s learning. American Robotics Academy is wishing for you, your staff and your school to be safe. We all have heard the statement, “We are all in this together”. Indeed, we are. The struggle to adjust to the new normal for now. American Robotics Academy now offers Online Live Classes for three different age groups, Little Engineers (foundation building course), Future Engineer (learning key concepts), and Think Like an Engineer (insight into Mechanical Engineering). American Robotics Academy will ship kits for each 8 to 12 week sessions. The sanitized kits will be mailed or picked up at a specified location with the constraints and in compliance with the COVID19 measures for safety. Diversity | Boost Self-Esteem | Social Competency | Collaboration | Literacy | Numeracy Spring 2021 Classes Little Future Engineer (K to 2nd Grade) Lake Travis ISD February 9th to March 23rd – 4 to 5 PM. Every Wednesdays. Dripping Springs ISD February 25th to April 8th – 4:30 to 5:30 PM. Every Thursdays.
Little Engineer Ever looked at amazing LEGO© builds and wonder how they are put together? What makes the build strong yet allows movement? This class is perfect for beginners with engineering in their mind’s eye. Together we will explore the parts and techniques for building strong mechanical creations, while learning the fundamentals of engineering principles. Over the length of the course, students will discover how to use engineering techniques and processes to:
This class will cover the fundamentals of building and engineering principles while making each session engaging and fun. Each student will be encouraged to work the build out before touching a block and we believe that this will open up the minds of children to the world of STEM and ensure they will develop a process of thinking and planning that will be very useful in life. Age group K to 2nd Grade Class Schedule Session 1 – Jun 22nd to July 15th (Mondays and Wednesdays, 2 to 3 pm) Session 2 – July 20th to Aug 12th (Mondays and Wednesdays, 2 to 3 pm) Session 3 – Sept 21st to Nov 16th (Mondays, 4:30 to 5:30 pm) Session 4 – Oct 29th to Dec 10th (Thursdays, 5 to 6 pm)
Future Engineer Your students have done every popular LEGO© set? Don’t know where to go next for their development? We have to the solution for you! In this class students will learn and add to their knowledge of LEGO© building equipment and engineering principles. We will start the journey of LEGO© movement with the gears and introduce gear ratios and how to manipulate the gears. Over the duration of the course, students will be learning to:
This class is designed to build on the knowledge the students have on building to transition them into robotics. Robotics is more than just science because it is also a great way to inspire our future generation to think about how to solve world problems one piece at a time. Each student will be encouraged to share in their experience. Our goal is not only to teach but to inspire them for the future. Age group 2nd to 3rd Grade Class Schedule Session 1 – June 23rd to July 16th (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2 to 3 pm) Session 2 – July 21st to August 13th (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2 to 3 pm) Session 3 – Sept 22nd to Nov 10th (Tuesdays, 4:30 to 5:30 pm) Think Like An Engineer Do you have an older student that thinks they know everything? We have the solution for you. Life does not always come with an instruction book and neither does this class. The students are taught to look at the big picture and then cut it into smaller slices for observation. Each build will be presented in a series of images creating an environment for critical thinking. Students will be guided along the way to deeper their understanding of how things work from the inside out. Over the duration of the course, students will be learning to:
This class will inspire and reinforce creative thinking while in a safe environment for building their knowledge of engineering. Thinking outside the box is the critical theme of this class. Age group 3rd to 5th Grade Class Schedule Session 1 – June 24th to July 17th (Wednesdays and Fridays, 2 to 3 pm) Session 2 – July 22th to August 14th (Wednesdays and Fridays, 11 to 12 pm) Session 3 – Sept 23rd to Nov 11th (Wednesdays, 4:30 to 5:30 pm) Session 4 – Oct 30th to Dec 11th (Fridays, 5 to 6 pm)

Our mission at American Robotics Academy® – Austin (West) is to excite, inspire, and motivate young people about the fun, importance, and impact of robotics technology in today’s world. We hope to stimulate their imagination and creativity by encouraging them to explore, experience, and express themselves through our hands-on interactive robotics program.
Our classes teach students to understand “how things work” through hands-on activities that demonstrate the principles of simple and motorized machines. They gain experience with design and problem solving through the use of gears, motors, wheels and axles, pulleys, and remote control devices. Working in age-appropriate teams of three, students learn a variety of ways to design a robot to do the things they want it to do. They decide and build, as a team, the best design of their robot for the competition to be held at the end of each class session.
Imagination …
Technology …
Teamwork …
AND A WHOLE LOT OF FUN!! 🙂
